Tulsa, OK – Tulsa's Future, a job-creation initiative of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce, announced today that eight companies have hired or intend to hire a total of 361 employees during 2010. Chamber and City of Tulsa officials made the announcement to emphasize that jobs are available and that efforts to attract and retain businesses are working.

The Chamber's economist estimates that from 361 announced jobs, an additional 187 jobs will be created throughout the Tulsa area economy and produce or support the production of $66.9-million in goods and services throughout the economy with a total income earned by the work force of $18.6 million.

The companies expanding are: Bearwood Concepts, Cancer Treatment Centers, Geophysical Research, M-&-M Manufacturing, Parkside Hospital, State Farm Insurance, U.S. Cellular and Quik Trip.
