Norman, OK – Report says Oklahoma girl died 'violent' death

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) An autopsy says a 7-year-old girl who was found dead with her stepfather in a wooded area of Norman died a "violent death."

The report released Friday says Aja Johnson may have died of a neck injury, but her body was badly decomposed. The report says there were four or five cuts to the left front of her neck that went to the spine, but the remainder of the neck was nearly a skeleton with no remaining tissue.

Aja and her stepfather, 46-year-old Lester Hobbs, were found March 29. Aja's body was lying covered on the ground near her mother's missing car. Hobbs was found inside the car.

Authorities began looking for the two when Aja's mother was found dead Jan. 24 in Hobbs' motor home in Geronimo.
