Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's StudioTulsa, we speak with filmmaker and writer Drew Wilson, whose new documentary film is "Bob Wills Ain't Dead." (You can view a trailer for this film at the following YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcISVZHY73s.) This project was a true "labor of love" for Wilson, who admits to knowing little about professional film production but who grew up listening to Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys --- and who had planned, originally, on making a documentary about the ongoing popularity of western swing in general. But when people kept mentioning the name of Bob Wills in particular --- excitedly, nostalgically, reverentially --- Wilson finally knew he had to focus his project on the King of Western Swing. "Bob Wills Ain't Dead" will be screened at the Circle Cinema in Tulsa (near the intersection of Admiral and Lewis) on Sunday the 26th at 1pm.
