Luther, OK – Earthquakes reported in central Oklahoma

LUTHER, Okla. (AP) Authorities say two earthquakes have shaken parts of central Oklahoma.

The U.S. Geological Survey and the Oklahoma Geological Survey reported an earthquake about 4:48 p.m. Wednesday in eastern Oklahoma County, between Jones and Luther. The Oklahoma Geological Survey reports that the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 4.0, while the U.S. Geological Survey estimated the quake's magnitude at 3.9.

Another temblor occurred about 5:45 p.m. in Lincoln County, not far from the first earthquake. The U.S. Geological Survey estimated its magnitude at 3.2.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. An area northeast of Oklahoma City has been rattled by tremors intermittently for months.
