More DHS Criticism

By KWGS News

Oklahoma City, OK – Two state lawmakers are launching a bipartisan review of the Oklahoma Department of Human Service's handling of the placement of children into homes where the children were murdered. Kingfisher Representative Mike Sanders wants answers as to how this keeps happening in Oklahoma. He says Oklahoma is one of only four states where child murders is not declining.

He and Oklahoma City Democratic Richard Morrissette are holding a meeting on Friday at the state capitol and have asked D-H-S commissioners to be there.

They say it is not a witch hunt and the D-H-S commissioners are not compelled to be at the hearing. Seven children in D-H-S' charge have died since February of 2010.
