Tulsa, OK – Swimsuit winner now talent winner in Miss Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The winner of the second night's talent preliminary in the Miss Oklahoma Pageant is a two-time honoree in this year's event.

A pageant spokeswoman said 24-year-old Emoly West of Edmond, competing as Miss Edmond LibertyFest, was named Wednesday night's talent preliminary winner. She was the swimsuit preliminary winner on Tuesday. West, who will be a senior at the University of Central Oklahoma in the fall, offered a ballet "en pointe" performance, "Time," as her talent.

The talent newcomer of the night in Wednesday's preliminary was 19-year-old Aly Akers of Enid, who offered a rhythmic baton performance to "Big Noise." Akers, competing as Miss Oil Capital, will be a sophomore at Oklahoma State in the fall.

Wednesday's preliminary swimsuit winner was 22-year-old Talia Berning of Norman, competing as Miss Tulsa. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in accounting.

After a final night of preliminary competition on Thursday, the pageant will skip a night and choose the new Miss Oklahoma on Saturday.
