PAWHUSKA, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2012 slaying of a Bartlesville man.

Rusty Boyd Petty was initially charged with first-degree murder in the August 2012 killing of 61-year-old Timothy Hauser. The Examiner-Enterprise reports that Petty pleaded guilty to the reduced charge Tuesday and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Authorities say Hauser went missing after leaving Osage Casino near Bartlesville. His body was discovered several months later in a rural area of Osage County.

Petty's alleged accomplice, 29-year-old Trysta Alberta Eileen Shaffer, faces first-degree murder charges in the death. Shaffer is due in court Dec. 13 for an arraignment.
