KWGS News File Photo

A man is arrested for pointing a hand held laser at the Tulsa Police helicopter. Authorities say the incident happened Saturday night. 42-year Carl Floyd is facing federal charges for shining the laser at the helicopter while it was on patrol near Archer Place. The chopper was about 1,400 feet off the ground at the time.

The FBI offers rewards on of up to $10,000 for information on aircraft laser pointing. There were nearly 4,000 laser attacks on aircraft last year in the U.S.

No one was injured in the Tulsa incident.
