Man Dies in Tulsa After Crashing into Guardrail

KWGS News File photo

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man was killed in an early morning crash in Tulsa.

Troopers say the man lost control of his pickup on the Interstate 244 exit ramp to northbound U.S. 75 early Monday morning.

Authorities say the truck crashed into a guardrail and the man was ejected and fell from the elevated ramp to the pavement below. Authorities say it took emergency responders nearly an hour to find the body.

The empty pickup continued down the exit ramp, traveling about 1,600 feet and crossing several lanes of the highway before coming to a stop.

Authorities have not yet released the man's name, pending notification of his family.
