Man Arrested After Tulsa Piggly Wiggly Fire

KWGS News

A man is arrested after being rescued from a long closed Tulsa supermarket. The ordeal happened this morning at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store at 3700 East Admiral.

A passerby noticed smoke coming from the building around 4:30 this morning and called the fire department. Fire fighters did a search of the building and found a man trapped inside. The man was rescued from the burning building and the fire was put out.

The man, a transient, was taken into custody for trespassing and for starting a fire. On the way to the jail, the man came combative and additional officers were called to subdue him.
