Local Grand Jury Indictments

Tulsa, OK – Thomas Scott Woodward, Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of
Oklahoma, announces the results of the December 2009 Federal Grand Jury.
The following named individuals have been charged with a federal crime or crimes by the return of an indictment by the Grand Jury. The return of an indictment is a method of informing the defendant of alleged violations which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome the defendant's presumption of innocence.

Angel David Vazquez. Felon in Possession of Firearms and Ammunition. Vazquez, 27,
of Tulsa, was allegedly found in possession of two 45 caliber semi-automatic pistols and assorted rounds of ammunition in Tulsa on September 14, 2009. He has a previous felony conviction from the state of Florida in 2003 for theft of a motor vehicle.

Cesar Alonzo Carrillo. Possess Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. The
defendant, age 34, of Miami, Oklahoma, is charged with possessing with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine in Tulsa on November 23, 2009.

Eduardo Rodriguez-Vargas. Alien in the United States after Deportation. The defendant, 47, an undocumented Mexican citizen, is currently incarcerated in the Tulsa County Jail after being released from the Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections. He is charged by the Grand Jury with being present in Tulsa since August 2005 after having been previously removed and deported from the U.S. in April 1998.

Sealed and Superseding Indictments:
There were four indictments returned by the Grand Jury that remain sealed. There were also three superseding indictments: Jason Burke, a child pornography charge originally indicted
in August; Barry Bowman, a firearms/drug trafficking case originally indicted under seal
in Novermber; and Warren Winkler, a child pornography case originally indicted last July
