Oklahoma City, oK – Okla. unemployment rate holds steady in November

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The unemployment rate in Oklahoma held steady in November at 6.9 percent and remains below the national rate of 9.8 percent.

Figures released by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission show the percent of jobless in Oklahoma is unchanged since September.

The report shows the most job gains were about 700 posted in financial services that include the real estate and rental and leasing industries. The largest number of job losses is 1,400 in government and 900 in the leisure and hospitality industries.

The report says that overall there were 3,000 fewer jobs in Oklahoma in November than in October.
