Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's StudioTulsa, we speak with the wonderful jazz and cabaret singer Ann Hampton Callaway, who'll be performing here in Tulsa on Sunday night (the 25th) at 7pm at the Tulsa PAC's John H. Williams Theatre. Callaway's latest CD, recently released on the Telarc Jazz label, is a great recording called "At Last." (She's made several other fine CDs, too --- and you can learn about all of them at www.annhamptoncallaway.com.) Callaway has had an incredible career in music thus far; along with her impressive abilities as a singer and vocal improviser, she's also written songs for Barbra Streisand, been nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in a Broadway musical, and collaborated with people like Carole King, Wynton Marsalis, and Keith Lockhart. Callaway's performance at the Tulsa PAC is a benefit for Oklahomans for Equality --- and it's a concert that will surely appeal to anyone who appreciates the Great American Songbook.
