KWGS News

The Dialogue Institute of the Southwest honored KWGS and four individuals last night at the 2013 Dialogue and Friendship Dinner. It was held at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Tulsa.

The Institute promotes mutual understanding, respect and cooperation among people of diverse faiths and cultures by creating opportunities for direct communication and meaningful shared experiences.

KWGS was presented the Media award for its diversity of programming and news coverage. Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glaze was given the Leadership Award. Tulsa City Councilor G.T. Bynum was presented the Public Service Award. The Fetullah Gulen Peace Award went to Lutheran Bishop Emeritus Floyd Schoenhals. The Dialogue Award was given to Ozark Christian College student Ashley Weece for organizing a community outreach following the burning of a Mosque in Joplin.
