Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The body of a soldier who was among the 13 people killed during a shooting rampage at Fort Hood in Texas last week has been returned to Oklahoma.
A plane carrying Spec. Jason Dean Hunt landed at the Air National Guard Base at Will Rogers World Airport around 1:15 p.m. Thursday.
About 20 minutes later, four police officers on motorcycles emerged, followed by a hearse, a funeral home limousine and government vehicles.
As the motorcade went out of the gates, the officers sounded their sirens and members of the Patriot Guard Riders motorcycle group, carrying American flags, trailed the procession.
Family members of the 22-year-old Dean, a Tipton High School graduate, didn't speak to the media.
A private funeral will be held under the direction of Primrose Funeral Home.
