Tulsa, OK – Tulsa council votes against judge
In a special session of the Tulsa City Council, its members decided not to reappointed a municipal judge facing complaints of sexual harassment and nepotism.
Callers to an ethics hot line complained that Presiding Judge Dan Crawford asked a female employee about her underwear and allowed his daughter to work in his courtroom on a paid internship.
Crawford's two-year term is due to expire at the end of the month.
The City Council is in charge of hiring and firing municipal judges.
