Tulsa, Oklahoma – On StudioTulsa today, we hear from a highly regarded expert on Latin American politics. Dr. Richard Millett is our guest; he gave an address last week to the Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations entitled, "Is the Mexican Drug Crime Wave the Wave of the Future?" And yes, admittedly, while most thinking about Mexico these days obviously concerns Swine Flu, the dramatic increase in drug-related violence in Mexico is being taken very seriously by the State Department, the White House, and others. (More than 6,000 drug-related deaths occurred in Mexico last year alone.) Dr. Millett currently teaches at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has taught at several other universities over the years --- all over the globe --- and he has written or edited scores of articles and books.
