It is Elton and Leon

Tulsa, OK – Elton John with very special guest Leon Russell will appear in concert with their bands on Friday, November 12th at 8pm at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma as part of The Union Tour. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, September 25th at 10am.

Elton John's band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion,
Nigel Olsson on drums and Kim Bullard on keyboards. Leon Russell's band comprises Jack Wessel on bass, Chris Simmons on guitar, Brandon Holder on drums and Beau Charron on guitar and steel guitar.

John Bolton, General Manager of BOK Center said, "We are thrilled to welcome Elton John back to Tulsa. Having hometown favorite Leon Russell join Elton on the same stage, on the same night, is truly incredible. It is a privilege for the BOK Center to be included as one of only eleven current dates on this entire tour."

This exciting evening will feature Elton John and Leon Russell performing a night full of hits, and will also include selections from The Union, Elton and Leon s highly anticipated album available October 19 in the U.S. on Decca Records. Produced by Oscar and multiple Grammy winning producer T Bone Burnett, The Union is a unique collaboration of two of the most talented artists in the music business. Recorded live in the studio with Elton and Leon, the album features a variety of musical genres from R&B, soul, gospel, country, pop and rock.

The monumental career of international singer/songwriter and performer Elton John spans five decades.
He is one of the top selling solo artists of all time, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits, and he has sold more than 250 million records worldwide. John holds the record for the biggest selling single of all time, "Candle in the Wind 97," which sold 37 million copies. Since his career began in 1969 he has played almost 3,000 concerts worldwide.

Russell has performed his gospel infused southern boogie piano rock, blues and country music for over 50 years. This legendary and Grammy award winning musician and songwriter has topped music charts, led the famous Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen' tour, performed with George Harrison and Friends at the Concert for Bangladesh and in 2006 was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Bare Bones International Film Festival.
