Tulsa, Oklahoma – Ever thought about starting up a small business here in Tulsa? Ever had a great idea for a product --- while driving, while in the shower --- and then thought to yourself, "Somebody really ought to develop and market that product?" On today's show, we're discussing an exciting new class (meeting every Monday night) that will soon begin at Tulsa Community College. It's called "Launch: Your Entrepreneurial Journey." Our guest, Sean Griffin, is a corporate and social entrepreneur who has been involved in the establishment of more than 25 businesses and non-profit endeavors --- and who recently partnered with TCC to develop the "Launch" program. (Griffin will also serve as one of the many "thought leaders" for this program --- that is, those Tulsa-area entrepreneurial mentors who'll be taking participants on the journey to launch their own start-up ventures.) "Launch" is meant to accelerate the start-up process by walking people interested in becoming entrepreneurs through the steps required to build a company. The program is made up of 16 weekly experiential business-building sessions designed to support the development of one's start-up, from the pitch to the core business model to the bootstrapping process. For more 4-1-1 on this program, including registration information as well as a detailed FAQ section, check out http://launchyourejourney.com.
