There is a mixed message in the drop-out and college stats in Tulsa. Drop-out totals must be reported to the state before the end of the year.
The Tulsa School District’s Chris Johnson says Tulsa more than the state average of drop-outs. Most of the drop-outs were from McLain High School. However, the school with the highest graduation rate is just a few miles away at Washington High.
However, when students do graduate from Tulsa they are more likely to attend college than the state average.
