Tulsa, OK – Heat warning extended in parts of Okla., Ark.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The National Weather Service is extending an excessive heat warning for parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.

The weather service in Tulsa on Sunday extended the excessive heat advisory until 7 p.m. Tuesday for 25 counties in eastern Oklahoma and three in western Arkansas. A heat advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Tuesday in northwestern Arkansas.

The weather service also canceled the heat advisory for northeastern Arkansas, and a flood warning for the Cache (cash) River was issued. The service said the river was at 10.6 feet Sunday morning with a flood stage of 8 feet.
