Oklahoma City, OK – Swine flu vaccine now available to all Oklahomans

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) State health officials say the swine flu vaccine is now available to all Oklahomans.

The H1N1 vaccine had initially been reserved for priority groups such as children and pregnant women.

The state Health Department on Tuesday announced that about 90,000 doses of the vaccine are expected in the state this week. The doses include both nasal spray and injectable vaccines.

Those wanting the swine flu vaccine are encouraged to check with their physician's office or county health department.

The state Health Department reports 890 Oklahomans have been hospitalized since Sept. 1 due to flu complications and 27 have died.
