Tulsa, Ok – New Okla. gov says daughter to give up lobbying job

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma's new Republican Gov. Mary Fallin says her daughter Christina will no longer work as a lobbyist at the state Capitol.

Fallin said Tuesday it was "not in the best interest" of her daughter or the governor's office for her to continue her work as a lobbyist.

The 23-year-old Christina Fallin worked last year with longtime Capitol lobbyist Gary Huddleston. Reports with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission show their clients included the American Academy of Ophthalmology, H&R Block, the Grand River Dam Authority and the Outdoor Advertising Association of Oklahoma.

Gov. Fallin says her daughter plans to marry in June and will return to finish her degree at the University of Oklahoma.
