OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin has been selected as a headline speaker at the Republican National Convention in Florida later this month.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus (ryns PREE'-bus) announced Tuesday that Fallin will deliver an address at the convention in Tampa, which will be held from Aug. 27-30. Fallin spokesman Alex Weintz (wentz) says the date and time of Fallin's speech hasn't been determined.

Fallin was announced as part of a second list of speakers that included former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, and former U.S. Sen. and presidential candidate Rick Santorum.

Fallin endorsed Romney in May, even though Santorum won Oklahoma's presidential primary election in March.

Weintz says Fallin likely will tout Oklahoma's growing economy and low unemployment rate during her speech.
