Undated – Presidential hopeful to address Okla. lawmakers
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich will conclude his two-day visit to Oklahoma with an address to members of the Oklahoma Legislature.
The former U.S. House Speaker is scheduled to speak at 10 a.m. Tuesday while the Oklahoma House is in session.
Gingrich delivered a speech Monday at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, during which he dangled the prospect of gasoline as low as $2 per gallon if he is elected.
Later in the day, Gingrich spoke at the Jim Thorpe Museum in Oklahoma City, where a small group of protesters held signs that read, "Give Newt the Boot." The museum is across the street from the headquarters of the Oklahoma Democratic Party.
The state GOP has invited all Republican candidates to visit Oklahoma, which holds its presidential primary March 6.
