Funeral Set for OU Quarterback Killed in Crash

OU Sooners-Facebook

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A funeral is planned for Monday for Steve Davis, the former University of Oklahoma quarterback killed in a plane crash in Indiana.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Tulsa followed by a private graveside service.

Davis died in Sunday's plane crash in South Bend, Ind., along with 58-year-old Wes Caves of Tulsa. Services for Caves are still pending.

Davis, who was 60, led Oklahoma led to back-to-back national championships in the 1970s.

Federal investigators say the plane had two aborted attempted landings at South Bend Regional Airport before crashing into a neighborhood. Two others on the plane were injured, along with one person on the ground.
