TULSA, Okla. (AP) — One of four Tulsa police officers caught up in a corruption probe that led to dozens of convictions being overturned has been released from a federal prison in Louisiana.

A prison official said John Gray was released around 8 a.m. Tuesday from the U.S. Penitentiary in Pollock, La.

Gray, a 20-year police veteran, was sentenced in December to four months in prison for his role in the scandal.

Gray pleaded guilty in June 2010 to stealing more than $1,000 in U.S. government funds during a sting and apologized at his sentencing to his family and the police department.

Gray and Brandon McFadden, a former Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent, both cooperated with prosecutors during the two-year probe and received lighter sentences.
