OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Supreme Court has accepted a former judge's resignation from the state Bar Association. The court took the action Monday in the case of former Oklahoma County District Judge Tammy Bass-LeSure. Bass-LeSure pleaded guilty in March to two counts of fraud in a deal with prosecutors who alleged she and her husband, Karlos LeSure, claimed foster payments and adoption assistance for children who didn't live with them. Karlos LeSure also pleaded guilty. Bass-LeSure and her husband each received a three-year deferred sentence. Bass-LeSure resigned from her judgeship a day before she entered the pleas. She also resigned her membership with the state Bar Association and relinquished her right to practice law. The Supreme Court order says Bass-LeSure must wait five years before applying to have her bar membership reinstated. Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. Summary
