Fire that Killed Two Midwest City Boys Claims Mother

Fire officials in Midwest City say a woman injured in a fire that killed her two young sons has now died.

Officials told reporters Monday that the woman died at an Oklahoma City hospital where she was taken following the Sunday fire that killed her 2- and 4-year-old sons. The names of the three were not immediately released.

Maj. David Richardson says the cause of the fire has not been determined -- but said that it began at the edge of a hallway and living room and was reported just before noon Sunday.

Richardson says the fire caused an estimated $250,000 in damage to a total of eight apartments and also resulted in minor injuries to four other people.
