Federal, state officials arrest 30 on drug counts

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The FBI has announced the arrest of 30 people in Oklahoma and California as part of a three-year-long investigation into drug trafficking between the two states.

The agency said in a news release Friday that arrests were made Thursday in Oklahoma City, Del City, Norman and Tulsa, Oklahoma and in Sacramento, San Francisco and Stockton, California. The FBI says two men — Tyrone Tanner of Tulsa and Darnell Banks of Oklahoma City — are still being sought.

FBI special agent Clay Simmonds says the primary drug involved is ecstasy — which he said is similar to methamphetamine.
