Stillwater, OK – Bicyclist killed while riding near Stillwater

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Authorities say a 56-year-old bicyclist died after she was struck and killed while riding on the shoulder of a state highway near Stillwater.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Debra Miller of Stillwater died Sunday afternoon after she was hit by a truck driven by 19-year-old James Michael Hazzard of Edmond. Authorities say Hazzard told officers that the sun was in his eyes and he drifted onto the shoulder when he struck Miller's bicycle.

Police say the accident happened on Oklahoma Highway 51 about four miles west of Stillwater.
