Ethics Complaint Filed Against Jolly

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Edmond man has filed an ethics complaint against a state senator regarding campaign reporting rules.

In a complaint lodged with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission on Friday, Robert Donohoo questioned whether Sen. Clark Jolley should have filed his Senate campaign report sooner.

Jolley closed the Friends of Clark Jolley 2010 committee on March 1 and filed papers forming his Clark Jolley for Oklahoma Senate 2012 re-election committee the next day. An Ethics Commission report indicates he transferred $217,361 from the Friends of Clark Jolley 2010 committee to the Senate re-election committee.

State law bars candidates from having two campaign committees open at the same time.

Jolley faces Edmond pastor Paul Blair in the Republican primary. The winner will face Independent Richard Prawdzienski in the general election.
