Oklahoma City, OK – White House declares emergency for Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The White House says President Barack Obama has declared a state of emergency in Oklahoma, which was hit hard by a crippling winter storm.

The announcement Saturday said Obama had ordered federal aid made available to supplement state and local response efforts in the area struck by the storm.

The declaration authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate all disaster relief efforts.
