Dog Dispute leads to Murder

Tulsa, OK – Police: Dispute over bulldogs led to man's death

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Tulsa police have arrested five people in the death of a 40-year-old man and say his death is the result of a dispute over English bulldogs.

Police on Saturday arrested 18-year-old Aldelso Shadrick Barnes, 18-year-old James Edward Alexander, 18-year-old Shanon Hunt, 20-year-old Jovan Caldwell and 18-year-old Sabrina Lee Cummings on complaints of first-degree murder.

Guy Gilmore Jones' body was found Friday in his home. Police say his girlfriend told them a dog was missing from the residence and that she and Jones recently had been involved in a disturbance with two people over English bulldogs.

Police determined that Jones had taken a dog from one of the suspects and that several of the suspects later had assaulted Jones.

Tulsa County jail records don't indicate if any of those arrested have an attorney.
