Death Takes Three Tulsa Icons in Business and Entertainment

Three well known Tulsans have died:

  • Ernest Moody III, of jewelry store fame, died on Sunday. He was 56. His father started the family jewelry business 70-years ago.
  • Larry Payton, the owner of Tulsa’s Celebrity Attractions, died last night in Tulsa after a brief illness. His firm brought Broadway productions to Tulsa. He was 64.
  • Lee Bayley; if you grew up in Tulsa in the 1960s, you knew him. He was the morning host on Top 40-radio station KAKC. He also hosted Dance Party on Channel 6. He died Sunday at his home in Texas.
