RE: Henryetta businessman murdered in his home.
Henryetta, Okla - On Saturday June 5, 2010 at 4:32 pm the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office received a message from the Henryetta Police to send a deputy the home near the 27000 block of So. 185th Road west of Henryetta city limits.
At the home deputies were met by DENISE GROFF the live-in girlfriend of the victim. Deputies found the body of the homeowner - a 56 year old man DELBERT LINN RODGERS (aka LINN RODGERS) on the floor of the home's garage.
The victim had been shot. Investigators do believe his death was the result of a homicide. The body of victim was released to the Medical Examiner for autopsy.
The victim is the owner of the "The Oil Pit" at 210 North E Street in Henryetta.
The sheriff's office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to assist in the processing of the crime scene.
Deputies have been canvassing the area going door-to-door seeking information about the crime.
Sheriff's office investigators are questioning several persons of inertest at this time.
