Tulsa, OK – Thousands filled the O-R-U Mabee Center to remember the Reverend Billy Joe Daugherty. Daugherty was remembered by O-R-U Board Chair Mart Green, who called him "an evangelist at heart"

The charismatic founder of the Victory Christian Center was remembered by O-R-U founder Oral Roberts. Roberts, in a pre-recorded statement said Daugherty "reached out with his soul. His soul seemed to have hands and his hands seemed to be filled with love."

Daugherty died on November 20th. Doctors diagnosed him with cancer during the summer. He was 57.
