Council/Mayor: The Saga Continues

Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa County wants the Attorney General to take over its probe of the Mayor's office. The council is forwarding its request to Drew Edmondson's office. At issue is if the Mayor and his Chief of Staff mislead the council over use of a federal grant to re-hire police officers.

If Edmondson's office won't handle the case, the council would like him to appoint a special prosecutor.

The maximum penalty for lying to the council is a 100-dollar fine and/or ten days in jail.
