Tulsa, Oklahoma – On this edition of StudioTulsa, we're discussing the upcoming "Nimrod" Literary Awards Conference for Readers and Writers, which is a day-long event happening on Saturday the 23rd in the Allen Chapman Activity Center on the University of Tulsa campus. "Nimrod" is TU's long-running literary journal, and our guest today is Francine Ringold, the editor-in-chief of "Nimrod." Among the notable writers participating in this year's conference, as Francine explains, are Molly Peacock, David Wroblewski, Rosemary Clement-Moore, Colum McCann, Kimberly McClintock, Jim Barnes, and Margo Berdeshevsky. (For more information on this conference, including registration information, call 918-631-3080 or visit http://www.utulsa.edu/nimrod/conference.html.) Also on today's program, we listen back to an interview we did last year with Colum McCann regarding his latest novel, "Let the Great World Spin" --- a book that went on to win, a bit later in 2009, the National Book Award for Fiction.
