Cold Makes Life Rougher on Tulsa's Street People

Facebook

With temperatures in the single digits, Tulsa's homeless are flocking to shelters to stay warm. Both, the DayCenter for the Homeless and the John 3:16 Mission are not turning anyone away when it is this cold.

John 3:16 Director Rev. Steve Whittaker says "we will fill every bed and chair at the mission and if more people come, we will find space."

He says no one will be denied shelter from the cold. "Our goal is to provide a warm place for everyone from the cold."

Rev. Whittaker says they could use donations of blankets, coats, gloves and caps. He says they also need underwear. They ask that it not be used.
