The mayor of Claremore has died. Mickey Perry suffered a fatal heart attack last night.
Perry was elected Mayor of the Rogers County Seat in the spring of 2011. Prior to that he had served for decades as the Claremore Police Chief. He first joined the Claremore force in 1969 after a stint as an agent for the OSBI.
Just this past weekend, he and Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz were inducted into the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Hall of Fame.
