City Council Action

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa City Council tables a proposal to create a savings account. The emergency fund will come up again next week. Some councilors favor the proposal so that the city would have a reserve account to draw upon in lean financial times.

The council also expressed its displeasure with Tulsa County. It seems the county has not paid its city utility bills. The city claims the county owes it more than $239,000. The issue was on today's budget meeting, but no one from the mayor's office was on hand to respond to the councilors.
