Tulsa, OK – Child shot during Tulsa apartment dispute

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Police in Tulsa say a 7-year-old boy was seriously wounded when he was hit by a bullet that penetrated the door to his apartment after he looked outside during a dispute.

Officials said the child was in serious condition at a Tulsa hospital Friday afternoon.

Tulsa Police Capt. Randy Hughes told the Tulsa World that the shooting occurred at about noon.

Investigators say the father of the wounded child was one of the people involved in the dispute and that the boy opened the door to check on his father.

Witnesses told police that after the gunfire two men rushed to a white sedan and fled the scene.

Police did not release names of those involved.
