Bartlesville, OK – Autopsy shows Bartlesville baby drowned in washer
TULSA, Okla. (AP) The state Medical Examiner's office says a 10-day-old Bartlesville baby found dead in a washing machine drowned.
The agency released the autopsy report on Maggie May Trammel this week. The report indicated Maggie had contusions on her scalp, left ear, neck, chest and buttocks and abrasions on her cheeks and scalp. No internal injuries or fractures were noted during the autopsy.
Authorities have said a relative found Maggie in the washer on Nov. 4. Washington County prosecutors have filed a first-degree murder charge against Maggie's mother, Lyndsey Fiddler.
Police say Fiddler told them she'd placed the baby in a bassinet and didn't know how Maggie got inside the washer. Initial reports indicated Fiddler tested positive for methamphetamine and other drugs.
Fiddler's attorney, Mark Kane, didn't immediately return a phone message.
