CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) A Claremore woman has been charged with two counts of manslaughter in the deaths of her 2- and 6-year-old daughters in a September auto crash in which she was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Tulsa World reports Rogers County prosecutors filed charges Tuesday against 27-year-old Destiny Lynn Burns and an arrest warrant was issued for her. She was not in custody and court documents do not list an attorney for her.
The car Burns was driving left a Rogers County road on Sept. 16 and crashed into a tree killing 2-year-old Quenth Jacobson and 6-year-old Jocelynn Jacobson. Burns and a 17-year-old passenger were injured.
Records show the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation measured Burns' blood-alcohol content at 0.15 nearly double the legal limit of 0.08.
