Gage, OK – Colorado man dies in western Okla. train collision
Colorado man dies in western Okla. train collision

GAGE, Okla. (AP) Authorities say a Colorado man was killed when his car collided with a freight train on Oklahoma Highway 15 in the western part of the state.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 27-year-old Casey King of Aurora, Colo., was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident near Gage in Ellis County on Saturday morning.

Troopers say King may have been lost when he did a U-turn on the highway and turned down a private drive toward a railroad crossing. The patrol says King apparently didn't see the 73-car train and was hit when he failed to stop at the crossing.

The conductor wasn't hurt.

Troopers say King was pinned in the wreckage for nearly two hours.

He was wearing a seat belt.
