Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) State lawmakers are confirming the Democratic governor and GOP leaders of the House and Senate have reached a deal on a state budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1.

Senate Democratic leader Charles Laster said Thursday the agreement between Gov. Brad Henry, House Speaker Chris Benge and Senate President Pro Tem was reached late Wednesday night.

Laster says he's hasn't seen the proposal, but was offered a few of the details, which he declined to disclose.

Incoming House Democratic leader Scott Inman also said a budget deal was reached late Wednesday.

Coffee, R-Oklahoma City, declined to confirm a deal was reached but told a reporter: "You'll have something to write about later today."

Republican and Democratic caucuses in the House and Senate are expected to review the proposal later Thursday.
