McAlester, OK – DEQ issues boil advisory
McALESTER, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality says E. coli has been detected in the drinking water at an alcohol and drug treatment center in Pittsburg County.
DEQ officials on Friday issued a boil advisory for Narconon-Arrowhead after water samples indicated the presence of the bacteria.
Officials say the advisory to boil water will remain in effect until the water system ensures that chlorination can be adequately maintained or corrections to structural systems or operational practices have been made.
