Body Found

By AP

Piedmont, OK – Authorities say they found the body of a 3-year-old boy who had been missing since a tornado struck his Oklahoma home.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West said Thursday that Ryan Hamil's body was found Thursday morning on the shore of Lake Falcon, near his home in Piedmont. He says the boy's body was likely washed to the shore by changing currents.

The boy had been missing since a tornado destroyed his home Tuesday. West said the boy's 15-month-old brother, Cole, also died.

The children's mother and sister were injured and are hospitalized. Their grandmother, Debra Hamil, says the two are doing well and are expected to recover.

The storms that spawned the deadly tornadoes killed at least 16 people in Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
