Bethel Guilty in Sweeney Murder

A Tulsa County Jury deliberates only about one-hour before bringing back a guilty verdict in the murder for hire trial of Terrico Bethel. The jury found Bethel guilty of First Degree Murder in the death of Tulsa businessman Neal Sweeney.

The jury returned its verdict just after 5:00 this afternoon. It recommended a Life in Prison with No Parole sentence. Bethel was also found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.

Sweeney was shot to death in his energy marketing business back in 2008. Sweeney was a well known businessman and former University of Tulsa football star.
